MS-Tag readers for your phone

This year at Celebration, we’ll have a number of Microsoft Tag codes for you to scan. These codes will allow you to get extra Isageeks videos that you can watch on your phone.

MS Tag on the back of our business cards at Celebration 2010

We discussed QR Codes and MS Tags in a post shortly before the last Celebration. You can give this a look to familiarize yourself with the technology, but we are planning on posting instructions for you to get the scanner on your phone if you have an iPhone, Android, or Blackberry.

So stay tuned!

Adding and Removing Imported Blogs on Facebook

Facebook changes. A lot. So much so that we often come back to subjects we’ve covered in the past, but with new instructions on how to get them done.

Such is the case with importing blogs on Facebook. This was something we covered in our original Social Media Road Show last year, but the way Facebook handles this has changed since then. As such, a lot of you have reported trouble changing your import settings. (more…)

Isagenix Podcasts now on Facebook!

Recently we started sharing individual podcast shows on Facebook. We’ve always wanted to cross our successful podcast series and Facebook – which we originally did with a tab on our Fan Page.

We do recognize that most people don’t spend time on the Fan Page, though. You look for news and updates on your own profile. To do this, we incorporated a free music/podcast sharing site called Blip.fm. This allows us to not only post new shows to the Fan Page, but post them with a player – so you can listen to the show without leaving your own Facebook profile! (more…)

Email Signatures, Part 1

@ sign in waxThe IsaGeeks frequently get questions about email signatures: what they should look like, what they should say, and what they should link to.  There’s no real right or wrong answer here (for the most part); signatures are a personal choice when it comes to your email communication.

Now, you may want your email signature to reflect your personality, which is fine as long as you don’t go overboard.  Your signature is going to be the last thing your recipient sees, so it affects the tone of every email you send.

The purpose of your email signature is to let someone know how to contact you, but try to do so without giving every single way possible to get in touch with you.  Some Associates prefer to just have their basic information:

plain email signature

An Invitation for You to Ask Us for Help

When we launched this blog in May, our hope was to reach out to the Isagenix Membership online and offer our help where needed. We would be like a St. Bernard in the alps looking for injured skiers with a cask of brandy around its neck. When you need help establishing your own web presence and you hit a snag, we would be there to offer our assistance. And brandy.

What we need now is to hear from you. What are you having trouble with, and how can we help?

Are you setting up your first paid search campaign?

Are you trying to build a cold market on Twitter?

Maybe you’re working on a warm market on Facebook?

Or maybe you’re just dipping your toes into the Internet for the first time, and want to know what to do first.

In short, we need to know what you will benefit from the most if we write about it. All you have to do is leave a comment on this post, telling us how we can help. Or, you can message us on our Twitter account @isageeks. And we’ll bring the brandy.

QR Codes

So what are QR codes? QR stands for “Quick Reference” or “Quick Response”. A QR code is a barcode that is readable by QR scanners (such as mobile phones with cameras and smartphones – hint, hint).  The code consists of black modules arranged in a square pattern on a (typically) white background. These codes can redirect the user to a web address, text, or other data:
