An important message from Jim Coover & Kevin Adams…

As you may know, members have been unsuccessful reaching the Isagenix Website since early this morning. This issue has been caused by an unprecedented number of requests to access our Website. The level of traffic appears to be an orchestrated attempt to block our members from having access to the Isagenix Website. We have not had any attempts to hack our systems or to access confidential information. Our IT professionals are working with our Internet service provides – Time Warner and Qwest (Century Link), to resolve this issue as soon as possible. We are encouraging callers to our Customer Care Center to try back later or if it would be more convenient, we can take their order information and enter it when the Website resumes normal operations.

We will keep you updated as we have further information.

Viral Outbreak

Eric the zombie killerWe get a lot (and I mean a lot) of questions about what makes a good post, be it on Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, or any other social network.  We’ve had people ask us how to make something they post, “go viral”, and then they cross their arms, waiting for an one-line answer. Uhhh…

So what does, “going viral” mean? Basically, it means your blog article, Tweet, or Facebook post will spread quickly from person to person – like a virus. People won’t be able to help it – they’ll “like” it or forward your post on to their friends, and their friends will forward it to their friends, and so on.  You get the idea.

However, this is rarely accomplished with posts titled, “Lose Weight Fast!” or, “Become Super-Awesome Rich! Ask Me How!” and a picture of an IsaGuy.  As a matter of fact, they fail almost 100% of the time – the exact opposite is what you should be shooting for. (more…)

Episode 2: Help, Tumblr, Phones, and Images

Century of Progress Records, 1927-1952, University of Illinois at Chicago LibraryHopefully, this is an improvement over the first podcast; we had a bit more time to work on it, and we got $5 for for some audio clips, so now the podcast has a budget! (All baloney aside, you’d be surprised how far $5 will go on the internet for sound bites.)

In this episode, we discuss different ways to help us help you find information and answers to questions, we discuss Tumblr and its benefits vs. WordPress, how to structure your blog with your interests, Eric talks about the “witchcraft” of the new iPhone and which phone you should use, and the super-awesome Tip ‘o the Week.

Isageeks on Facebook – The Best Place for your Questions

When you have a problem with some new piece of technology released by Isagenix, or questions about social networking, search, or anything else related to online media, your best source of information is the Isageeks Group on Facebook.

There are a lot of members to the group – and most of them have likely had the same challenges you’re having. The response time from the community is also very fast. Certainly, it’s a lot faster than if you leave a comment on one of the blog posts here.

All you have to do is go to http://www.facebook.com/groups/isageeks, click on the, “Ask to join group” button, and wait for your approval. (We’re pretty fast about getting to these as well.) Then you can fire off your question, and even answer questions other people have as you become more of a pro yourself.

See you there!

The first thing you need to do is create a fan page.  We’ve written an article on this previously – just go through the 4 steps in that post, and you’ll have a Facebook Fan page to call your own.
